Hit the surf with CG & BG at 6:00 AM. I caught two ladyfish in two and a half hours fishing. CG caught one dink on a tail and BG chased ladyfish on a spoonfly. The water was as beautiful as I've ever seen it on the upper coast. Nice rollers, trout green, a breath of a North wind. Schools of horse mullet in the first and second guts. I did not see any shrimp popping the surface. Pelicans were about but weren't working. The wind, weather, and water conditions were perfect, but the trout were not there. We drove the beach and did not observe any anglers catching fish. It's got to turn on sometime.
